Getting our bearings straight: AG Expo in Tulare, CA

The 47th annual Ag Expo was held in Tulare, California with 100,000 attendees this year. Over 50 countries were present, along with 1,500 exhibitors. A few of the UAV’s team members were also able to attend the admirable 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space the AG Expo offers. The variety of technology the Ag expo was able to present, gave an insight of the progress agriculture is making towards integrating technology such as UAV’s into agriculture.

Among those exhibitors the UAV Team was fortunate enough to meet with a representative from Advanced Reconnaissance Corp. Advanced Reconnaissance Corp. specializes in advanced multispectral and hyperspectral sensor systems. These services are open to commercially and military customers. They are located in Fishkill, New York and Annapolis, Maryland. The corporation’s system detects object that are hard to see or hidden threats. Besides IED detection, border security, its sensors are also available to serve for agriculture analysis.
