On April 13, The Unmanned Aerial Systems Table for Bobcat Day to talk about our project and about the Engineering Service-Learning class. The event took place from 9am – 2pm. Bobcat day is a day for the all the new incoming freshman for Fall 2019, can come to campus to meet all the clubs and organizations UC Merced offers. I want give thanks for the people that helped make this day possible Chris Butler, Jaime, Ryan, Kimberly, Daniel, Alex, Luis, Rehan, and Martin. Also, a special thanks to the U.A.S team for making it possible for us to showcase all the work we’ve done this semester and helping to make an amazing poster to display.
Are set up consistent of a tv, apple tv, our poster, and the DJI Mavic 2 Drone. We were able to have the DJI Mavic 2 Drone out there to show to people as they were passing by. The Tv displayed the thermal imaging live from the drone. This really brought more people into our table because every was curious and interesting. The members that were present discuss what our problem is, how we are going to solve it, and why do people care. This day really gave us a chance to practice for Innovative to Grow, we were able to catch many incoming freshman attentions and where really interested in joining the Engineering Service-Learning Team. Bobcat day was amazing and was a great way for people to know about our project.
