On November 9th, 2019, Drone Day was celebrated at UC Merced. The UAS Team tabled and explained many details of the project throughout the day to the general public, UCM students and staff. The team presented one of their drones along with a thermal camera which was turned on for the visitors to see. The thermal camera picks up different heat signals allowing us to see temperature differences between the canopies and detect nematode contaminated trees. The team also presented the crowds with countless amount of information regarding our project and fight against nematodes. Drone day was an overall success.
