Platform Subteam |
Team OverviewThis semester’s goal is to develop a working prototype for farmers. In order to do that, the team must begin by attaching a camera to the 3DR IRIS+ and ensuring that the photos taken by the camera can be analyzed. The team is also striving to establish maximum flight time efficiency. The next step would be to program an ArduPilot, working closely with the imaging subteam, and test autonomous flight systems. |
Team ProgressThe platform team have 3D-printed an enclosure for the digital camera. The enclosure is made out of ABS plastic. The cap took approximately 40 minutes to print while the body took a couple of hours. Two openings have been incorporated in the back of the body so that it can be attatched to the UAV utilizing zipties. |
