UAS Sample Testing @KARE 10/08/19

October 9, 2019

On October 8th the UAS Team visited KARE in order to learn about the process of taking nematode samples from walnut trees. With the guidance of Dr. Westphal and his team, UAS learned about nematode sampling, how to count the nematode present on the samples. The team plans to take multiple trips in order to have the most accurate data available. The KARE Team has also agreed to share nematode samples with the UAS team in order to have every sample analyzed.

UAS plans to make more trips to KARE to collect more nematode samples for data analysis. We spoke to UAS and they plan to fly the drone at KARE very soon in order to move forward with the research and analyzation of the canopies.
