UAV Spring 2020

February 9, 2020

As we welcome the new decade, we would also like to welcome our new Spring 2020 UAV Team. These members will continue to push and innovate both in the community and agriculture. As our research stage progresses, UAV continues to collect more data that will hopefully draw a correlation between Temperature and Nematode Infestation in the walnut orchards. Trips have been planned to Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center (KARE) in order to collect as much data through drone flights, sample testing & the aid of Dr. Andreas Westphal. The Spring 2020 team is eager to begin phase 4, with it comes the completion of the software components needed to complete a fully functional heat gradient chart for grower’s to use &  enough data obtained through field testing to provide proper analysis for nematodes in the walnut orchards. As the semester progresses we will continue to pursue our goal with the help of Chris, Dr. Chen and Dr. Westphal who have aided us every step of the way.
