Imaging Sub-Team

Team Overview
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle collects data of the vineyard in the form of pictures that need to be processed. That is where the imaging sub-team comes in. This sub-team is responsible for the process behind stitching and analyzing those pictures efficiently.
This process is achieved by utilizing software to stitch the images together and developing a program to analyze the images. The team is currently using Microsoft Image Composition Editor (ICE) to stitch together the pictures taken by the UAV. The team has been figuring out what parameters and settings to run the program under, so that a correct layout of the area is made. After the stitching is completed, the newly stitched image is analyzed by a program developed by the team pixel by pixel. The program in particular is looking out for signs of Pierce's Disease and any area that may be affected by the disease will be highlighted on the stitched image.
This whole series of stitching and analyzing of images will be streamlined into a single program with a clean user interface. The goal is to just have any farmer or crop grower upload the pictures onto their computer, press a button, and receive an output that is easy for them to read and understand.
